EXMOUTH RNLI will be running a 'relief' Shannon Class all-weather lifeboat for a few weeks, as their boat heads to Poole.
The Relief boat for Exmouth RNLI arrived on Monday (November 11) while their Shannon class boat undergoes some maintenance
The R & J Welburn leaves Exmouth for the RNLI All Weather Lifeboat Centre in Poole On Tuesday (November 12) for some maintenance which cannot be carried out at Exmouth RNLI station.
The boat is expected to be away for about three to four weeks. Poole is home to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution HQ, where training and repair work takes place for all RNLI stations in UK and Ireland.
A spokesman for Exmouth RNLI said: "We are pleased that relief boat Shannon 13-32 RNLB Ruth and David Arthur, has arrived in Exmouth, ensuring that, in the coming weeks, we can continue to respond at all times when lives may be at risk."
