Nobody will ever come to Exmouth to shop for four hours.
There is not enough choice, quality, or excitement in Exmouth.
Anyone who would want to do some real shopping for four hours would go to Exeter, Torquay, Plymouth, Bristol, etc., and would not be bothered about 50p off.
There is a private car park opposite, (Union Street) starting from 50p short term.
The EDDC is not being good to people, they charge the disabled people even on Sundays, what a shame, how would you feel about your war veteran disabled father having to pay to park to go to the chemist?
I live in Albion Street, there are approximately nine cars 30 30-minute free parking spaces at the bottom end and 20ish more further up by the County Council, (street parking).
So people come and use these spaces for quick visits to the town centre and don't go into the District Council car park and pay.
So, one council is cutting off the income of the other council, do you think this is funny?
I think it is RIDICULOUS and we the residents have nowhere free to park.
It would be wonderful to have a residential parking permit in front of my house.
I come home for lunch and I cannot park in front or near my house, so I end up going to a car park and pay and my girlfriend does not come anymore.
London Hotel Car park is a VERY sad place, no lights, NO CCTV.
I parked overnight, and my car got damaged, rang the police they said, it is council property, we cannot interfere, and it is the council's responsibility, rang the council, and they said it was a criminal matter, go to the police, wow, what justice, not funny!
There are NO LIGHTS on after midnight at least four nights a week, lots of crime.
I rang and asked, "Can we please have at least one light in the TOWN CENTRE car park?".
They said NO, it is for saving money!
So I asked, "What about those hundreds of lights at the sea front?".
They said it is for tourism.
Similar to the leaflets that the police put in our letter boxes telling us that they are protecting us, obviously not, they cannot even make the council have at least one light in the town centre car park, so more crime.
Sadly in this country, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.
So, NO THANKS TO EDDC.
