A Devon care home resident marked her 100th birthday with a party and a royal telegram
Doris Swale, a resident of Bay Court Nursing Home in Budleigh Salterton, enjoyed the celebration on Thursday, November 16.
Her family joined her at the care home for the festivities, which included champagne and birthday cake.
She also received a very special telegram from King Charles.
Known for always being cheerful, Doris shared her secret to her youthful looks: "Nivea cream, milky coffees, tennis, and dog walks".
Doris is also proud of her three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She has had an array of jobs but her favourite by far was being a wife to Frank, her husband of seventy years and a Mum to her two precious girls.
