Exmouth Leisure Centre celebrated the grand reopening of its newly refurbished gym on Saturday.
It took place on November 16. The significant investment has transformed the facility into a state-of-the-art fitness hub, equipped with cutting-edge machinery and a refreshed, modern interior.
The revamped space boasts an array of new equipment to cater for all fitness levels and interests, including a functional workout rig, Olympic weightlifting benches, Smith machines, and premium Stairmasters.
Members can also take advantage of a new dumbbell rack, seated preacher-curl bench, prowler sled, and performance kettlebells.
With even more additions on the way, such as a hip thrust station and an iso-lateral plate-loaded lat pulldown, the gym has been designed to support every fitness journey.
The refurbishment goes beyond just equipment, featuring LED lighting and a redesigned layout that enhances the training experience.
The goal was to create a welcoming and energised space for people of all ages, and early feedback has shown that this mission has been accomplished.
Members have praised the upgrades, with comments including: “Love the new equipment”, “There’s so much more kit but it feels so much bigger”, and “You’ve catered for the young and old perfectly – it has that community feel that I love”.
The launch event saw attendees exploring the upgraded facilities and trying out the new kit, supported by LED’s knowledgeable and experienced gym team.
The newly enhanced space underscores LED Community Leisure’s mission of helping people feel better and get more out of life.
Simon Minting, Leisure Manager, said: “We’re thrilled with the positive response and proud to offer a space that embodies our commitment to the community’s wellbeing.
"We’ll continue to innovate and ensure everyone has access to the best possible fitness and wellbeing facilities.”
"Residents are encouraged to come and visit the centre to experience the vibrant new gym and explore the additional amenities on offer including group exercise classes and swimming."
