FORCE Cancer Charity has been forced to call off their Santa Cycle and Cruise on Sunday (November 24).
The event would have seen nearly two hundred Santa's enjoying a cruise on the River Exe after cycling between Exmouth and Topsham.
Storm Bert is set to batter the South West this weekend and as event organiser Chloe Richardson said: “The threat of bad weather means we cannot guarantee the fabulously festive experience that we’d all been looking forward to.

“But don’t despair – we have a plan!
“Our friends at Stuart Line Cruises have kindly offered us an alternative date – Sunday, January 5 2025.
“Nothing else has changed but the date.
“You’ll still get your Santa suits, goody bags, gifts for the children and of course, the fabulous feeling of riding the Exe Estuary Trail with dozens of other FORCE supporters plus an exclusive Exe Estuary cruise.
“We are sorry that we have had to change our plans but we hope everyone understands that the comfort and safety of all our wonderful Santas is paramount and we look forward to seeing as many of them as possible on January 5th 2025.
“Here’s to starting the New Year with a ho-ho-ho and one last festive treat for all the family before the tinsel is put away!”
