An Exmouth education centre has become the only independent exam centre in Devon and Cornwall.
Live to Learn Education, established by award-winning tutor Kelly Taylor, has been supporting students who struggle or choose not to attend mainstream or specialist schools since 2020.
In a bid to be more inclusive and provide fairer opportunities for those who are educated outside of schools, Live to Learn Education has spent the last two years developing the centre.

It offers a nurturing environment for home-educated students to take their exams, as well as providing assessments for access arrangements, group and one-to-one tuition, online tuition, mentoring and other services.
Previously, the closest independent exam centre was Tutors & Exams in Taunton, which, according to Live to Learn, presented challenges for Devon and Cornwall students due to travel time, limited spaces for access arrangements, and its school-like environment.
The centre's presence in Exmouth is expected to attract more visitors to the town as students from across the region come to take their exams.
Live to Learn will coordinate with home-educating families, local schools, and the local authority to ensure more students can benefit from its services.
The centre also offers home invigilation services for students who prefer taking exams in their own homes.
The centre has been offering tuition to young people since 2014, expanding its services in 2020 to cater to those who do not thrive in or choose not to attend traditional schools.
