Exeter City manager Matt Taylor was the guest of honour when Brixington Blues Under-14s defeated Twyford Spartans 5-1 under the floodlights at Budleigh Football Club.
Adam Paramore was first to impress, playing a delightful ball over the top for Noah Bassett to open the scoring. Twyford Hit back but Harry Meaden kept the ball out with a fine save.
Corey Sanders then executed the perfect touch for Bassett to double his tally with a first-time shot before Alex Haggerty and debutant Gabriel Gillingwater combined to set up Jack Ward for a long-range third.
Gillingwater continued to impress with an assist for Evan Slater to join the scorers, although Twyford hit back with a consolation. Gillingwater then capped a fine display with a volleyed finish for the fifth goal.
Thanks to Budleigh FC for the use of their pitch and to Matt Taylor for watching the game, a great boost for both clubs.
