East Budleigh took the spoils with a 2-0 derby day win at Lympstone.
Rian Hill struck first for Budleigh, who doubled their lead with a 30-yard wind assisted screamer of a free-kick from Jack Howarth.
Budleigh had to battle well to keep a clean sheet in a second half with very few chances; Man of the Match for the Jays went to Daz Everest who produced a solid display at the back and in attack.
East Budleigh Reserves played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Bampton, as Tom Christian rescued a point from the spot four minutes from time.
Budleigh took the lead, thanks to a low drive from Ben Wiltshire but Bampton turned the game on its head with two goals in four minutes
Bampton were denied a third by some fine goalkeeping from Jays ‘keeper Drew Shorrock. Owen Corrick then won a penalty for his side and Christian kept his cool to convert.
