Exe Sailing Club is gearing up with great excitement ahead of a return to the water from March 29.
Sailors will be granted access to boats and slipways can be used, although overnights stays on-board will not be permitted and the workshop remains off limits.
It is, however, a first step back to a semblance of normality and the club committee is already discussing plans for the resumption of racing.
The club is hoping to recommence bar and restaurant service during the week commencing May 17, which will be a fantastic boost on the social side that is so important to a thriving sports organisation.
Sailing programmes for 2021 are now available from the club website, obviously dependent on Covid restrictions, and members have been kept ‘virtually’ enthralled by a series of online talks through the winter, including a fascinating Antarctica Adventure.
