Brixington Blues produced a stunning comeback against Exeter rivals Pink Panthers to secure a place in the second round of the Devon Cup.
The Panthers took the early lead before Ned O’Mahoney converted his penalty to level the score but the game ran away from them in the first half.
The Blues found themselves 5-1 down before O’Mahoney pounced on a loose ball in the area to rifle home and go into the break 5-2 down.
The second half was a different story and saw a stunning and determined team performance producing one the best comebacks against strong opponents.
Harry Tooby made it 5-3 with a vicious strike, Ryan McCann scored from distance and Harry Batten levelled the scores. The Blues kept flying forward, although Frank Shelton did produce a superb challenge to keep the momentum, and late strikes from Josh Tompkinson and an O’Mahoney completed an amazing game.
