Strong winds are once again dictating where we fish, some anglers are braving the shingle beaches in difficult conditions whilst others are opting for sheltered water of our estuaries and harbours.
Some members of Honiton SAC boat fished out of Minehead andm after a horrible journey in driving wind and rain, fished all day in brilliant sunshine finding plenty of Rays of all species, Conger Eels and just a few Dogfish.
Exmouth SAC members have been out and about locally with Bass, Smoothhounds, Dogfish and Small eyed Ray all being reported from local beaches.
For those who love their Flounder fishing, a date for the diary is the weekend of November 23 & 24, when Teignmouth SAC will be hosting the National Flounder Championship on the River Teign. Entry is £25 with a prize of £1250 for the best fish, as well as daily prizes. Full details from Teignmouth SAC or Bobby Drew on 07595 154683.
