Madeira BC Ladies produced some great bowls to win their latest Foxlands Trophy match, with Janine Orchard playing away with the two Dees (Williams and Norman) achieving an impressive 25 shots to 7 in their first game in this competition of the season. Ann Maloney, playing in the other away team, made her first outing for Madeira in this competition.
Two teams of ladies triples travelled to Budleigh Salterton last Thursday for the closest and friendliest of games with Madeira winning overall by 29 shots to 28 on the last end.
Madeira welcomed three mixed rinks from Newton Abbot on Saturday and continued with the winning streak overall by 64 shots to 47 and with two wins and a draw. The most decisive result of the day was from the team skipped by Penny Preece, playing with Mike Killoran, Ann Doidge and Geoff Furminger, who achieved a comfortable 27 shots to 13.
