After a superb display in the ring, Ethan Langstone Justice from the Lympstone Amateur Boxing Club won the Western Counties 67-71kg novice belt at the recent Bideford dinner show, receiving a nasty cut above his eye in the process.
He was due to defend his title at the Bristol Sporting Club show last Monday but had to give up his challenge due to the cut eye.
Thankfully, his club colleague Max Wilkinson stepped in and won the belt with another tremendous performance, meaning the belts stays with the Lympstone Club. Well done to both and great to see continued success and recognition for the local boxers.
Lympstone Boxing Club is run on volunteers, so if you would like to know more about becoming part of the Lympstone ABC family, send them a message on Facebook or Instagram, or visit the gym at 33, The Parade, Exmouth.
