Budleigh Bowls Club hosted a Mixed Triples team from ISCA, the Exeter based Club, and served up a fine display on home territory.
On rink one, the Budleigh team of Mo Bond, Tony Lim and Tony Mackness (Club Captain) met strong opposition and, at the halfway point, the visitors were leading by nine shots to six.
The tea break worked wonders for the Budleigh trio and, over the final nine ends, they scored an impressive 13 shots compared to three by the opposition, giving Budleigh a win of 19-12.
Meanwhile on the second rink, the Budleigh team of Melissa Camp, Norma Upchurch and Ann Vincent were always ahead and came away the winners, 22-6. The overall result was a win for Budleigh of 41-18.
Tony Mackness commented: "It is these friendly matches against local clubs that make the sport so enjoyable, and we look forward to visiting ISCA next season."
