Brixington Blues moved up the table after a well-earned away win against Culm Sampford on a soaked pitch.
The Blues started well applying pressure through the midfield, Ryan McCann put a lovely ball into the box in the first few minutes but it evaded everyone. McCann then fired in a free kick which the ‘keeper parried, only for Ned O’Mahoney to knock in the rebound to take the lead.
Brixington’s defence was typically robust with Harry Batten and Ethan Smith letting nothing past them in the middle, Frank Shelton was excellent with a superb sliding tackle to take the ball from the striker’s feet.
Brixington were able to keep the clean sheet and secure an away win with a great all-round performance.
Line up: Alphey Smith, Frank Shelton, Louis Foorde, Ethan Smith, Thomas Brooking, Harry Tooby, Ryan McCann, Oliver Dawkins, Ned O’Mahoney, Josh Tompkinson, Will Palfrey, Harry Batten.
