Topsham Town recorded their best result of the season, coming from 2-0 down to inflict a first Devon League defeat on leaders Beer Albion.
The Fishermen enjoyed a perfect start, Josh French supplying the pass for Taylor Rooke to convert from eight yards, and Beer doubled that advantage on ten minutes, Rooke again the scorer.
Topsham, to their immense credit, fought back with a powerful header beating visiting goalkeeper Elliot Driver, who was then deceived by an inswinging corner that found the net to make it 2-2 after just 23 minutes.
The home side finally edged ahead on the hour following a slick counter-attack and then wrapped up the points on 77 points. Nathan May and Nathan Cooper were the Topsham scorers, both bagging a brace. A great result for Topsham but no big drama for Beer, as they remain 11 points clear of second-placed North Molton.
