The Cranford Sports and Social Club in Exmouth held a Fun Badminton Tournament on Saturday, April 15, and it turned out to be a great success.
There were 18 adult players booked in, members and non-members playing on two courts. Players were split between the two courts and everyone played eight games up to 11 points with a different partner each time. At the end of play the winner was the player who scored the most points.
Whilst waiting to play, there was table tennis and a 'pot the shuttle' competition with a raffle, plus lots of delicious cake.
It was a very enjoyable afternoon for members and also to try and encourage more adults to play badminton for fun and to keep fit. It is tremendous sport for balance, agility, coordination and an all-body workout. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.
