The goals were flying in at Vicarage Road, as James Bridge came off the bench to head a stoppage time winner for East Budleigh, defeating Teignmouth 2nds 5-4.
The Jays fell behind midway through the half before deservedly equalising on the half hour, Guy Laverock and Jack Greenslade combining for the former to lash the ball into the net.
Budleigh continued to press and scored three times in five minutes before the break; Laverock fed Adam Wilkinson and his cross was volleyed home by Greenslade to make it 2-1. Rian Hill and Matt Demetre extended the lead to 4-1.
Incredibly, Teignmouth rallied to make it 4-4 but, with the clock ticking, Bridge produced an excellent header into the bottom corner to win Budleigh the game on what was a an entertaining afternoon.
This Saturday, Budleigh are at Newton St Cyres looking for more of the same but with a little less stress.
