A dominant East Budleigh produced a superb performance to trounce visitors Chard 10-1 last Saturday with a Jack Greenslade hat-trick helping them to victory, writes Mark Auton.
Budleigh were at it from the off with Greenslade opening their account before the away side grabbed their consolation. Louis Adey struck his second for the club and Brad Hill bagged a brace to make it 4-1 at the break.
Greenslade converted a penalty and Adam Wilkinson scored a screamer from 30 yards to extend the lead. A header from Substitute Jack Howarth made it seven, number eight was an own goal and Greenslade had his treble for number nine. Wilkinson completed the rout with his second and Budleigh’s tenth. Budleigh are at Wellington this Saturday.
East Budleigh Reserves were beaten 8-1 by a fine Witheridge side in Division Three. Tom Christian scored for the Jays with an excellent free-kick. Budleigh host Heavitree at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
