East Budleigh produced an excellent team display to pick up a point in a 1-1 draw at Wellington with Sam Balbi picking up Player of the Match, writes Mark Auton.
The Jays went behind to a soft penalty decision and playing up the slope in the first half, Budleigh ‘keeper Jack England made some fine saves to keep the score 1-0 at half-time.
It was a different story in the second period as Budleigh dominated and were level from another penalty, which Jack Greenslade coolly converted. In the dying seconds, Greenslade had a chance to win the game but fired over the bar. This weekend, Budleigh host Newton St Cyres.
