In the realms of Southern League football, a trip to Sholing is always tough, and especially when the home side are looking to extend a seven-match unbeaten run.

Tiverton Town arrived on the outskirts of Southampton in one of the relegation places but promptly defied all the odds to demolish their hosts with a superb 4-0 victory.

The Yellows were rampant from the start and grabbed the lead with a near-post finish from Jack Rice, holding that lead until the break, with goalkeeper Zak Baker, on loan from Plymouth Argyle, largely untroubled.

The crucial second arrived just before the hour, Dylan Jones surging through the Sholing defence before slamming an emphatic finish into the net. The third goal was out of a David Beckham scrapbook, River Allen lashing an incredible strike from over 40 yards before the points were sealed by Niall Thompson making it 4-0 to the joyous Yellows.
