East Budleigh got the better of neighbours Lympstone, thanks to goals from Jack Greenslade and Rian Hill, writes Mark Auton.
After five minutes, Brad Hill fired wide when set up by Adam Wilkinson, who was also involved in the Jays opening goal a quarter of an hour later, claiming the assist from which Greenslade struck his 14th league goal of the campaign.
The away side had their moments and should have levelled the scores, whilst Guy Laverock and Player of the Match Ryan Britton made timely interventions.
Nine minutes into the second period, Budleigh had the important second goal. Greenslade fed Wilkinson who claimed his second assist with a clipped cross for Hill to head home.
Budleigh used their bench and one of those subs Kyle Pearcey showed good pace in going close to a third, whilst Lympstone had a late goal disallowed for offside, but it was Budleigh who deservedly ran out winners.
