Exmouth teenager Laila Middleton is drowning in gold medals after a superb season in Taekwondo.
Laila, 16, has been training since the age of five and her amazing talent led to a double gold in the TAGB Southern Championships this year, and the East Devon star, who also trains in Exeter, has done it again at the British Championships.
Held at the Worcester Arena, the British Champs brings together the best Taekwondo talent from across the country and Laila was awarded a double gold in the Ladies Patterns and Sparring categories.
The Taekwondo world is literally at the feet (and hands) of Laila, who can take further inspiration from the achievements of 52 year-old grandmother Annabel Murcott, as she became the first British woman to gain the 8th Dan black belt in Taekwondo at the Championships.
Congratulations to Laila for her amazing success in 2023 and 2024 better watch out for this rising star.
