Brixington Blues Under-9s powered into the next round of the League Cup with an excellent win over visiting Hemyock.
Despite falling behind early, the Blues replied with a brilliant pass from Alex Roach putting Matthew Burt through on goal. He rounded the ‘keeper, only to see his shot cleared off the line. Thankfully, Alfie Butler scored neatly from the resultant corner.
Brixington took the lead shortly when Henry Turner finished off a good team move and a super strike from Joe Northway made it 3-1. Hemyock did pull a goal back but the game was done when Butler scored his second of the day
Brixington Blues Utd Under-9s produced a battling display before going down 3-1 at home to Lumpstone, Ronnie Merriman scoring for the Blues with a superb solo effort.
