After beating league leaders Budleigh Salterton last Saturday, East Budleigh Reserves were at it again beating another good side in Broadclyst.
Player of the Match Dan Atkinson grabbed two goals in three minutes early in the second half and despite an 80th minute goal for the visitors, East Budleigh deservedly held on.
It was an excellent all-round performance from the Jays with Lewis Fletcher, Joe Day and Owen Corrick defending stoutly in front of ‘keeper Reggie Kew, who again handled well.
In the midfield engine room captain Ben Wiltshire gave everything, alongside Ioan Harding, whilst Tom Christian was always a danger with his set piece delivery. Credit also to youngsters Zac Airth, Ben Nelson and Michael Tapp who ably supported front man Atkinson.
The First Xl produced a great team display at league leaders St Martins picking up a point a 1-1 draw, thanks to a stunner from Toby Hill.
