In the week of International Women’s Day, Exmouth RFC Women secured a brilliant 43-25 victory at home to Kingsbridge RFC Ladies in a thrilling advert for female rugby.

Exmouth were excellent in the early stages, crashing over for an opening try and that opened the floodgates. Kingsbridge were courageous in their tackling but there was no stopping the purple tide, as the Cockles racked up a load more scores to lead 31-5 after the break.

To their immense credit, the visitors fought back after the break and dotted down for some scores of their own, but this was a day that ultimately belonged to an exciting Exmouth side.
