East Budleigh Reserves returned to winning ways last Saturday with a 4-0 victory at Davey Fort Lyme Regis.
It was a fine all round team display from the Jays for whom Dan Atkinson bagged a brace.
Budleigh were quick out of the blocks with Atkinson scoring from close range on five minutes after a shot from Nathan Penhallurick was parried by the home keeper.
Atkinson was at it again minutes later following a slick passing move, and it was three with a rare close range header from Tom Christian.
Budleigh were working hard and passing the ball around with confidence, but took their eye off the ball with their lead as the half progressed.
However, after half-time Budleigh made the game safe when Owen Corrick found the net with his first goal of the campaign.
At the other end, the Budleigh defence held firm throughout with skipper Joe Day marshalling the troops well.
This allowed manager Al Palmer to use his bench as Zac Airth, Ben Nelson, Joe Bowden, Jack Morgan and Ben Wilks all made a contribution .
Budleigh complete their season at home to Exeter University on Monday, May 6.
