A busy but successful week for the Exmouth Harriers, as one runner won the LM Events Maer 10km for the second year running.

Six Harriers ran in the 10km and half marathon all together, with both races starting and finishing on Exmouth seafront.

Josh Sale retained his title from 2023 when he led the 10km from gun to tape and finished in a superb new personal best time of 36.31.

He was accompanied in the 10km by David Snook and Hayley Kelly.

In the half marathon, Scott Jamieson returned to form with a marvellous third place finish in a great time of 1.40.30.

It was a challenging undulating course that took in the Jurassic Coast Path between Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton.

He was joined in the half marathon by Mark Hawkins and Adrian Barton who was first in the men's 55-69 age group.

Exmouth Journal:

Three weeks after finishing the Brighton Marathon, Andy Place ran in Britain’s Ocean City Half Marathon in Plymouth.

It is a 13.1-mile race through the streets of Britain’s Ocean City and further afield through Saltram Park that started and finished on Plymouth’s iconic Hoe Promenade.

Two Harriers ran in LDWA’s Devonshire Dumpling Challenge that started and finished in Budleigh Salterton.

There were two options; 30 miles with over 2,440 feet of climbing and 18 miles with 1,830 feet of climbing.

The challenge was to finish within 11 hours.

The 30 and the 18 mile routes made their way up to Woodbury Castle and then down to the Exe Estuary.

From Exmouth, the course returned the participants to Budleigh Salterton via the South West Coast Path.
