Exmouth Town U13 Girls put on the performance of the season when they hosted Paignton Villa at Warrenview.
From the first whistle, the home side were hungry, committed and played some very good football against a very good team
10 minutes in, Town got there first reward of the evening as Evie Ellis bagged her first of the night with a neat 1-on-1 finish after bursting through the Villa back line.
Carla Drysdale added a second with a thunderbolt of a free kick from 20 yards.
Then on the stroke of half time, the goal of the night saw Town playing a sweeping move from the edge of their own box across the pitch with some great link up play, before Ellis latched onto the through ball and confidently finishing, sending Town in at the break 3-0 to the good
Town were straight at it in the second half, relentless of their pursuit of the football and winning it back high up the pitch.
But it was a defensive mix-up and brute strength that allowed Ellis to complete her hat-trick.
Villa did then apply some late pressure but the defensive unit and a smart double save from Ellie Cuthel-Williams kept the clean sheet in tact as Town won 4-0.
