East Budleigh completed their League 1 campaign with victory at Hatherleigh last Saturday with what was a very comfortable 2-0 win.
The fist half saw the Jays create chance after chance but fail to find the net as the half finished goalless.
After the re-start it was more of the same with the deadlock eventually broken by top scorer Jack Greenslade, who won and converted a penalty.
With 70 minutes on the watch, Brad Hill added a crucial second to seal the points.
In a great team display ,Lewis Fletcher was marginally pipped to the Player of the Match award by Sam Balbi.
Budleigh are next in action when they host Upottery in the East Devon Cup semi-final on April 21 at 7pm.
Now onto East Budleigh Reserves, who produced a fine finish to their season with Joe Bowden bagging a treble as they ran out 4-0 winners over Exeter University.
The opener came after eight minutes when Bowden picked up a flick from Balbi to coolly put his side ahead.
Budleigh 'keeper Reggie Kew was back from injury and produced three top drawer saves to preserve his side's lead.
Five minutes before the break it was two; Ioan Harding pouncing at the near post to convert a Tom Christian corner.
There was still time for a third before the break; Dan Atkinson and Balbi were involved as Bowden lashed the ball into the net.
Two minutes into the second period Budleigh were awarded a penalty after a handball; Atkinson sportingly handed the ball to Bowden who completed his hat-trick.
Kew was excellent between the sticks, but the Player of the Match was shaded by Bowden.
