Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club has praised its under-11 girls side for a strong start to the season, and is urging other young girls to come and try out the sport.
The team has attracted new girls since moving to its new home, The Holt, and has competed in three tournaments so far this summer.
But there is still time for new female members to get involved.
Coach David Simms said: “The club is really proud of all the girls who have played in the three tournaments this summer. They should be really happy with how they have all progressed, and the matches have showed how far they have come in just a short period of time.
“For anyone wanting to get involved – please come along! There are still the Friday night training sessions and we have under-10 mixed matches that the girls can get involved with if they’d like some match play. We are a friendly and inclusive side and everyone is welcome.”
To come along on a Friday and take part in a trial training session contact David on 07763 140697.
