Exmouth Rugby Football Club has appointed Chris Parks, a long-time supporter, as their new honorary president.
Parks has been closely associated with the club for several decades, passionately contributing to the club's prosperity despite never having played the sport, due to being disabled by polio in his childhood.
Notably, his contributions have extended beyond the field, particularly in the modern era, offering significant services to various factors defining the club, which is now in its 151st year.
Former roles include Chairman and Treasurer, evidencing his consistent dedication to the clubhouse.
His efforts were honoured with a Life Membership honour in January 2016.
He said: "Being voted Honorary President of Exmouth RFC is a fantastic honour, surpasses the pride I felt when I was made a Life Member.
"Following in the footsteps of my predecessors, who served our club so well, I hope I can meet the expectations placed upon me."
Parks remain hopeful that his service will meet the standards set by his predecessors.
