The Budleigh Otters have had a promising week with two successive victories.
The wins strengthen their chances for Division 3 promotion in the Exeter and District Over 60s Triples League.
Their first success came in a rescheduled match at Cullompton on Tuesday, where, despite a late rally by the home team, the Otters triumphed 19-13 gaining seven points.
Members Peter Evans, Paul Griffin and David Roberts played a paramount role in their team's victory.
A heated match ended in a draw 14-14 due to the unyielding resilience of Mike James, Peter Cooper and Andy Cardy.
The following day, the Otters secured a 19-8 win at Exeter St Thomas with Peter Foreman, Bryan Membery and Peter Cooper maintaining dominance throughout the match.
The second rink led by Peter Evans, Norman Upchurch and David Roberts turned a 9-1 around with a brilliant comeback registering 14 shots in the final nine ends, resulting in an 18-11 victory and an added eight points.
Focus now shifts to a crucial match at Axminster, while the Budleigh Beavers face Honiton in their last match, aiming to achieve promotion from Division 8.
