East Budleigh narrowly lost to Liverton Utd 4-3 on penalties in the Devon Senior Cup.
Despite leading most of the game, which was held last Sunday, Liverton managed to equalise before proceeding to win their penalty shoot-out.
Player of the Match, Brad Hill, both scored and later levelled for Budleigh.
Mark Lever tipped the scale in favour of Budleigh with a goal after a free-kick.
The match ended 3-3 after 90 minutes with Liverton taking the match 4-3 on penalties.
This coming Saturday sees Budleigh return to league action at Elmore, while East Budleigh Reserves host Cullompton in the Bill Slee Cup.
