The gripping game held at Kempston Park BC on September 14 ended with Janine scoring 20 shots to Holly's 21.
Following this, on September 15, a powerhouse six-rink match saw the Rhiwbina Ladies Bowls Club come up victorious against the host team.
Rhiwbina rode their half-time lead, which stood at 24 shots in their favour, to eventual triumph, despite strong resistance from Madeira's Barbara Walker and Brenda Marks.
Madeira faced another hurdle on September 16, when they struggled against Somerton & District BC.
The visiting team ran an impressive match, winning by a hefty 73 shots.
Despite the loss, Madeira's team, led by Ronnie Cook, managed a meaningful victory with an 11-shot advantage.
Notably, Ian Munro had a significant win in the Frank Walker Handicap singles final, scoring 21 shots to Roy Lemin's 14.
Janine Orchard, fresh from her narrow loss, returned to the green partnered with Mike Holmes in the pairs final.
Janine and Mike emerged triumphant with a 20 to 13 victory over Ian Munro and Andy Lock.
On September 18, the Devon Patrons, back for their second match of the season, faced a resolute Madeira out for revenge.
Emerged victorious with a significant equivalent 33 shots advantage, just as they had lost in May, marking the end of the season on a satisfying high note.
September 20 brought an exciting match with a friendly rivalry, as Captain Sue Lampey and Vice Captain David Macaulay faced off one last time for the season.
The Vice Captain’s team pulled out a narrow 7-shot win, marking the day as a memorable contest enjoyed by the participating 40 club members.
Wrapping up the bowling season on September 22, the club hosted the semi-finals and the finals of the Bowls Devon County Trophy.
Teams from four of the County's most robust clubs, including international players, battled it out in an unforgettable day's play.
Shaldon BC clinched the trophy defeating North Down BC 88 to 56 shots.
