Exmouth Snooker League champions Police Social A hold a one-point lead.
They lost three frames to Police C but triumphed in a fifth-frame decider against Police D.
Police B and East Budleigh B share third place.
Police B lost a potential 4-1 win to a 3-2 defeat due to two blackball losses.
East Budleigh B won 4-1 against Police D but lost to East Budleigh A.
Mervyn Long, Alan Farrant, and Bert Savage of East Budleigh A secured their first-match win.
Police C are in fifth place alongside East Budleigh A with John Parrott, Eric James, and John Evens victorious.
Shaun New, of East Budleigh B, remains the only player yet to be defeated.
