Budleigh Salterton 2nd beat Heavitree United 1st in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Budleigh Salterton Football Club came from behind to win the top-of-the-table clash in the Devon and Exeter Football League, Division 3.

The hosts were down by two goals within 21 minutes but showed attitude and character to recover and claim victory.

Defender Joey Bagley started the fightback with a goal three minutes after Heavitree's second.

Jack Hocking levelled the score just before the break, following a free kick.

The second half was a tense affair with both teams vying for supremacy.

The physicality of the game led to several stoppages, but both goalkeepers stood firm to keep their teams in the game.

It was substitute Daniel Tapp who found a gap in Heavitree's defence during injury time, successfully slotting home the final goal.

The win keeps Budleigh at the top of the table.
